Explain the "scientific" claim that is being made Sound healing therapy improves many facets of the patient’s life, including emotional and social development, cognitive and motor functioning, and psychological and psychiatric health. Provide an estimate of the number of people that believe the pseudoscience; note the source(s) of your estimate. I’m not sure how many people today exactly believe in this, but it has been a thing since as far back as biblical times, ancient Egypt, and ancient Greece. Note the typical justifications that believers resort to when they accept such "scientific" claims. Basically, they say that when the sound waves reach our ears they are converted to electrical signals which can release hormones and change mood. Which they are not wrong I suppose but there is no "healing: involved like this website seems to want you to believe. Explain why the claim is pseudoscientific rather than scientific. Include reasons and evidence to support your argument that the claim is pseudoscientific. I mean of course music can change your mood or even in some cases make you feel "better”, but it’s all mood based and its simply what your body reacts to that’s the science of it. It does not, however, heal you in any way shape or form. "Therefore, if you are in pain, let’s say you have a headache, a sound can be played to you that will interfere with your brain waves to cancel out the ones that say you are in pain." This was said that kind of made me laugh. If anything, it’s a placebo effect but if all I had to do was listen to a song and my headaches would go away I would do it in a heartbeat. I had originally got this idea from watching Bill Nye on Netflix. I wish I could remember which episode it was but one of the people tried it, so you can see it in action there and she can tell you her experience on it as well.
