Power: Definition
➢ There are various definitions of power including;
❖ “Power is the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the
course of events” (Stephanie, 2018)
❖ In social science and politics, power is the ability to influence or outright control the
behavior of people.
❖ The term "authority" is often used for power perceived as legitimate by the social
structure.
