The fundraising event for the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration has grown into an enormous event, but has remained primarily the same for the last few years: a wine tasting event that takes place over several days and is usually held in an enormous casino ballroom. Innovative Event Solutions is interested in re-creating the event. We are soliciting event proposal bids for producing the event. The following requirements must be addressed or included in the proposal: The objective is to raise $500,000 in scholarship funds for students of the UNLV Hotel College. The budget for preliminary planning of the event is $40,000. This will be awarded to the winning bid once the contract is signed. All other funding requirements must be generated by event revenues and sponsors. Wine tasting must remain an intricate part of the event. The event has to remain in the Las Vegas area. Your company will have a volunteer event team staff from the Event Management Major’s capstone course at UNLV. This team of 20 students must be incorporated into the event proposal. These students will assist you and your staff in implementing your event during Spring Semester 2019. UNLVino® needs to take place between April 1st and May 15th, so you have some leeway in selecting the actual event date. Please provide rationale for the selected event date.
