Criminal Gangs
In the modern American society, there are many criminal gangs which are continually
terrorizing people. The most famous type of gang in my area is the youth gang. The description
of youth gangs varies across different states. There are many youths who too often idle on the
streets doing absolutely nothing. The city, Houston is prone to youth gangs because there are a
lot of immigrant people who enter the US through Texas. This youth gangs most of the time rob
people of their possessions and valuables. The youth gangs in the neighborhood are racially
segregated, and they also engage in various criminal activities like drug trafficking and robbery
with violence. They are ethnically segregated because most of them are Latinos, African
Americans, and other minority groups. According to the National Youth Gang Survey, members
of youth gangs are of between 5-17 years old (Markham, 2015). Racially segregated groups most
of the times are poor, and families have no means of supporting themselves, and this triggers the
