Charge: We all know that M. Meursault is guilty of killing a man on the beach. But this is not what this trial is all about. The charge we are concerned with is not murder but whether or not M. Meursault is evil.
As a Juror, having read a transcript of the trial and events that led up to the tragic events in the story, deliberate over the following issues with your fellow jurors:
- Compare and contrast the relationship between Salamano and his dog with the relationship between Meursault and his mother.
- What are the similarities?
- Which is more loving?
Post your thoughts and comments to all the above questions.
