Determining whether the bloodstains have actually been cleaned up or not
An experienced analyst can study the crime scene, such as the Legends hotel room, and
determine the sequence of events, which may caution the analyst that there are some blood
stains which have been cleaned in the room. The analyst may also utilize additional attachment
techniques, which yields further trace evidence of blood stains in the room. Furthermore, the
blood stain patterns may still be visible (Fish et al., 2013).
The method used to visualize the presence of blood at a crime scene
Even with the most thorough cleaning, a minute trace of blood is likely to remain at
the Legends hotel room because blood is difficult and sometimes impossible to remove from
all surfaces. Moreover, blood may have soaked into cracks between floorboards, or absorbed
by concrete, porous material, or the carpet. I believe that blood exists at the crime scene, but it
is not visible; therefore Luminol, which is a liquid sprayed on the area containing blood, is an
ideal method of identifying if the blood was cleaned. The chemical reacts with blood, which
