Children are a vulnerable group prone to many diseases and infections that affect the way
their bodies develop and function. Cystic fibrosis is a complicated health condition mainly facing
children which affects the smooth movement of sodium chloride in specific cells due to a faulty
gene in the victims. When the body is not receiving efficient salts, the child tends to have heavy,
thick and sticky mucus, salty sweat and abnormally thick digestive systems (Jamieson, et al.
