In the food chain industry, McDonald’s is one largest corporation in the whole world
(Bergmann, 2015). The corporation is serving remarkable clients in the entire globe daily.
Because its everyday value, cleanliness, quick services, and quality food, McDonald’s has made
a high-profile brand image. Information systems, modern infrastructure, customer-friendly
policy, advanced operational systems, and experienced management have provided McDonald’s
special and unique position of competing in the highly competitive and dynamic business
environments and markets (Conway & Fichter, 2016). The company offers a huge range of
opportunities in the job markets and food service retailing for a large group of individuals
worldwide. Furthermore, the corporation has a unique brand reputation that gives huge dividends
to its shareholders and other stakeholders. The strategies of the corporation handle matters
established in the SWOT and PESTLE analysis (Stone, 2006). The success of the multinational
corporation is an indication of its efficient, effective, and reliable policies, plans, and strategies to
tackle all of such external aspects. As the largest fast restaurant chain in the globe, the company
should keep adapting its strategies on the basis of its industry environment conditions (Gustafson
& Kotter, 2018). SWOT and PESTLE analysis reveals that there are various opportunities as

McDonald's Corporation must put into considerations the political environment and legal
factors on its industry to ensure that it remains competitive in the food chain industry (Hannah,
2016). Legal and political environment refers to governmental actions on the macro-environment
or remote of businesses. Like in this situation, the governmental action was increasing the
minimum wage in Washington. McDonald’s have no option but to follow the legal requirements
imposed by the government. This aspect pertains to impacts of regulations or laws on the
companies (Preble, 2010). The legal minimum wage levels in the United States are a threat to
McDonald’s Corporation. The company faces higher minimum wages threat that results in
higher prices and costs. For example, McDonald's can execute new legal minimum wage levels
would mean that the company would have to set aside extra or more finances to meet the salary
and wages demand within the corporation. The business operations of McDonald will always be
influenced by its government and state policies. The operations of the McDonald activities and
business are under the rules and regulations (Schlosser, 2012). McDonald’s must follow the
policies of foreign investments and local government on its strategies of franchise businesses.
The local state political instability also influences the normal operation of McDonald’s
