Pediatric Obesity

It is correct to note that there have been increased cases of pediatric obesity, and thus this
has become a public health challenge over the past few years. Pediatric obesity can be perceived
as a situation where a child is overweight or can be perceived as grossly fat. In the medicinal
field, the situation can be perceived as a situation where the child has excessive body fats which
lead to health risks, and other health related problems (Kumar & Kelly, 2017). Some of the
conditions which are associated with pediatric obesity include increased body size, protruding
potbelly, and also increased instances of snoring. In this case, it is worth noting that pediatric
obesity is a situation which tends to hamper the overall growth of the child. It is therefore
commendable that adequate mechanisms should be set in place to ensure that the case of
childhood obesity is comprehensively addressed.
