Description

it is only a discussion and we need to participate, just be easy on it.

there is a file, and there are 3 answers in this discussion and we need to participate only and respond for them.

1. My partner and I have not done any special moves yet. We are trying to get our numbers where they should be first and then we plan on adding some special environmental sustainability moves. When we can finally get some things under control then we plan on using more of the "green" method.

2. I think I'm in the middle with the ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility, and sustainability. Everyone sees big businesses making it when they have these features so most companies think they need to have them and most of the time they don't even know what they need to do to be successful with it. I think for it to work with your company you need to know about it and how to be successful with it.

1. a) My partner and I have pursued a small amount of corporate initiative in our BSG strategy. We may plan to increase it but as of now our image rating is sufficient. We would pursue more, but I think it would only add costs and not improve sales enough to warrant the extra costs. b) Besides being morally correct, corporations who participates in CSR and sustainability benefit benefit from good company reputation which may have marginal effects on their sales and profits. Sustainability may encourage compliance with industry regulations and laws. Lastly, focusing on ethics can improve company efficiency and help deter things like fraud. I would say I fall somewhere in the middle. I think some people overemphasize the impact a lack of CSR can have. For example, lots of companies participate in questionable practices and activities but the general public does not care enough to say pay a higher amount for another brand with better practices. That being said, I think some companies do manage to capture a customer base who are willing to shell out extra cash for better practices, especially concerning environmental sustainability. 2. The company's business strategy has some CSR incorporated in it. Also two of the core values are to encourage diversity and promote fair treatment of all the employees. The company strives to ensure that employees are treated well and receives a nice amount of incentive pay. Environmental sustainability has not been worked into the business strategy. Once the company grows and increasing in profit, the company will try to use recycled boxing as well as packaging, increase ethic training, and donate to charities. The company will do these things in hopes of helping the environment, increasing the image rating, and attracting more customers. As of right now the company just does not have enough money but it is definitely under consideration. I personally think the big deal with ethics,CSR, and sustainability is that companies want to look good and help save the environment. Not many people would get behind a company who stays in the news for not treating employees fair, doing things that are against the law, and cheating people out of their money just to name a few examples. I think they are buzzwords in business because people are more environmentally aware of what is happening around the world and people want to help people in need as well as help the environment. Some people fear shortages in natural resources so they are more willing to stand with a company who tries to preserve them over a company who does not care. I am somewhere in the middle because I understand people's concern with the fact that there is only one earth but at the same time we have to live our lives and do what is necessary to survive with what we have. Cutting down trees is not going to make a shortage on trees if they continue to grow more. I believe some people go over board with emphasizing it but i also feel like people should be conscious of the harm that can be caused. 3. a) My partner and I have not done any special moves yet.
