Absolutism:
There are few advantages to the absolute monarchy, but one of them is the ability to get things done.
When there is no opposing party and a single voice can speak, a lot can get done. However, in today’s
society an absolute voice doesn’t work with so many voices and differing opinions there needs to be
balance, and give and take.
The bombings:
1. When it comes to war, the entire act of war is immoral. So to say whether a single part is morally
justified is hard to argue. In this instance however the argument is how many deaths did they prevent? If
you compare the tens of thousands killed in the bombings vs the millions killed throughout the war it is
possible to say the bombings were morally justified.
2. One could argue that the bombings in Japan were morally justified. The use of such large weaponry
may have been catastrophic, but they ended one of the most deadly wars in history.
Who should be punished?
I do not believe those that knew but didn’t act should be punished for their negligence. Yes it was
morally irresponsible to sit back and do nothing, but legally they were following their leader.
Causes of WW1
Nationalism was a major contributing factor to the cause of WW1. With countries being so full of pride
and greedy, they all wanted to trump one another. This mindset leads to aggression towards your
enemies or anyone that stands against you in fear of defeat.
