The virtues of character are concerned with practical reasoning and arise from
teaching while the virtues of thought are more concerned with feelings and
actions and arise from the habit which requires experience and time.

Aristotle means that the virtue of character has to be followed by the appropriate
action. If one acts right then he must also like it and derive pleasure from it.
