The defining concern of sociology is to help us see the relationship between our personal lives and the social forces that structure society. To achieve this goal, requires the courage to confront long-held beliefs and traditions in a quest for truth and intellectual enlightenment.
For our final discussion, please write one substantial paragraph offering at least one take away from the lessons offered by sociology during our time together. You can choose to comment on a preferred reading, an interesting sociological theory or concept that invited you to reflect about a social issue of your choice, or a video or documentary used on a particular discussion that made you reflect about the connection between history, society and your everyday life.
