Student Example of Aviation Accident Project AD
DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE
Federal Aviation Administration
14 CFR Part 39
[Docket No. N/A]
Airworthiness Directives: F-22 Raptor
AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), DOD.
ACTION: Final rule; request for comments.
SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Lockheed
Martin F-22 aircraft. This AD requires installation of the Automatic Backup Oxygen
System (ABOS) into the aircraft. This AD was prompted by pilots experiencing hypoxia
like symptoms, and the crash of Jeff Haney. We are issuing this AD to prevent the flight
crew from injury or death if there is a problem with the On Board Oxygen System
(OBOGS).
DATES: This AD is effective January 28, 2016. We must receive comments on this AD
by February 28, 2016.
PDISCUSSION: We received reports of F-22 pilots experiencing hypoxia like systems.
Ongoing investigations have determined that there is a flaw in the Back up Oxygen
System during high G-Force maneuvers. The root cause of this is trying to make the
aircraft as light weight as possible. This condition, if not corrected, could result in
OBOGS failure leading to the pilots passing out due to lack of oxygen. We are issuing
this AD to correct the unsafe condition on these products.

SPSS: Chi-square TestAssignment OverviewBy successfully completing this assignment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following EPAs and advance practice behaviors:EPA 2.1.3: Apply critical thinking to inform and communicate professional judgments.APB 2.1.3.A: Apply critical thinking in verbal and written communication through the use of leadership and technology with colleagues, individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.Related Assignment Criteria:4. Apply critical thinking in verbal and written communication through the use of leadership and technology.Assignment ScenarioThe Redmond Child Protective Services wants to compare the effectiveness of two programs provided to parents who were identified as being at risk for abusing or neglecting their children. The parents either participated in a 10-week parenting course or 10 weeks of family therapy sessions. The evaluator compared 50 parents who participated in the parenting course and 45 parents who participated in the therapy program. The evaluator was looking at whether the parents were suspected of abuse or neglect one year after completing services (that is, there was another report of abuse or neglect). The Redmond local government is hesitant to invest in family therapy, as it is a much costlier service than a parenting class.Assignment InstructionsFor this assignment, complete the following in a one-page, APA formatted paper:Review the provided data set, which includes 95 cases. The two variables are types of intervention program (parenting classes or family therapy) and subsequent status in the child welfare system (no suspicion of abuse or neglect or suspicion of abuse or neglect).Review the tutorial in this week's Studies, which demonstrates chi-square test using a different scenario.Conduct a chi-square test on the data set to determine if one program had better outcomes than the others. Include a copy of SPSS output.Provide the result of the statistical analysis. Was there a statistical significant difference between the two programs?Write a narrative explaining the implications of the findings for future programming and funding priorities. What are the potential limitations of the program evaluation results?Attach your SPSS data set, linked in the Resources.Additional RequirementsThe assignment you submit is expected to meet the following requirements:Written communication: Written communication is free of errors that detract from the overall message.APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to APA style and formatting standards.Length of paper: 1 page, double spaced.Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.DATA SETIntervention Was the parent suspected of abuse/neglect within one year of completing the program? abnormal psychology discussion 800 words
For this discussion, you will enter into another conversation on an ongoing controversy and contemporary issue regarding abnormal psychology. Specifically, are there psychological syndromes and symptoms that appear only in certain cultures? I will provide as well samples of other discussionsAs you enter into this conversation, carefully consider the historical information you read regarding the discovery and identification of symptoms and syndromes that could potentially be bound to specific cultures. Then, take a moment to relate this historical background to the current ethical, clinical, and social considerations when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Interpret specific symptoms and syndromes as they relate to abnormal behavior from a culturally sensitive standpoint. Be sure to integrate knowledge of any appropriate cultural considerations psychologists must be aware of when working with individuals from backgrounds dissimilar to their own.Again, the goal of this discussion forum is to have a single dynamic and respectful conversation about culturally bound symptoms and syndromes, not a series of 20 to 30 separate conversations. This means every post should be in response to another post. Your instructor will be posting the initial thread to which you will respond. Only start a new discussion thread if you want to address an entirely different theme or question(s) within the discussion subject area. Additionally, only post after first carefully reading what all the others within the thread have written.A simple agree or disagree statement is insufficient to be counted as a response. When presenting your opinion, cite relevant sources (beyond your text) to support your statements. Do not repeat what your classmates have already written, and do not ignore them if they ask you questions. Any questions asked of you must be answered, including questions from your instructor. Try to keep the conversation moving forward by presenting options, insights, alternative ideas on and/or interpretations of the topics and research. You must post a response within the discussion on at least three separate days by Day 7, and your posts must total at least 800 words. There is no required word count for individual posts as long as your posts together total at least 800 words. There is no maximum number of posts for any discussion.Once your discussion is graded, your instructor will provide you with a summary of the week’s discussion and any conclusions or definitions that the class agreed on in your grading feedback. Please keep this summary in mind for future discussions in this course.http://www.apa.org/pi/oema/resources/policy/multicultural-guideline.pdf
