Truman State University FedEx Corporation Ratio Trends Discussion
FedEx Corporation Go to any financial website of your choosing (such as Yahoo Finance or the main website for FedEx corporation) and locate the financial statements for your assigned corporation. Note that certain websites, such as Morningstar, will allow you to export the data to Excel for free which might simplify your Excel calculations. Now refer to Table 3.8 (attached, see references)1) Using an Excel spreadsheet, you will create a three-year ratio trend analysis from the financial statements for your assigned corporation. The trend will consist of the following ratios: Current Ratio and the Quick Ratio from the “I. Short term solvency, or liquidity, ratios” category Return on Assets Ratio and the Return on Equity Ratio from the “IV. Profitability ratios” category Price Earnings Ratio and the Price Sales Ratio from the “V. Market value ratios” category. Then provide a one-page (minimum) discussion about what each trend indicates for your assigned corporation. Is the trend good or bad, why? 2) Using the investing dot com study guide(attached, see references) , find the industry ratios for your corporation (you will also find the earnings growth rate here). Note that the ratios provided in investing.com for your assigned corporation may not match your part (1) calculations exactly.Compare your calculated ratios for your assigned corporation to the industry ratios. Then provide a one-page (minimum) discussion that details whether your assigned corporation is performing better or worse than the industry based on the definitions of the six ratios. Are your calculated trends from part (1) moving closer to or farther away from the industry averages? Is this good or bad?References1. Table 3.8.pdf2. Alex Sharpe
The Alex Sharpe Case allows students to:1. Understand and quantify risks associated with individual stocks and portfolios.2. Calculate beta using linear regression.3. Understand the relationship between risk/return and the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). Please write a paper (single-spaced within paragraphs, double-spaced between paragraphs, 12 PT Times New Roman Font, 1 inch margins) answering the following questions:1. Alex Sharpe sat in her home office and evaluated the investment strategy for her children's educational savings. Currently, money is invested in a Vanguard 500 Index fund, a no-load mutual fund constructed to track the performance of the S&P 500. In order to achieve higher returns, Alex had been considering a more active strategy. She has narrowed down her search to two stocks: Hasbro and R.J. Reynolds. She wants to insure that the expected return on the new portfolio would provide adequate compensation for taking on any new risky assets. CLIENT PROFILE: Who is Alex Sharpe and what are her objectives. QUESTION 1: Estimate and compare the returns and variability (i.e., annual standard deviation over the past five years) of Reynolds and Hasbro with that of the S&P 500 Index. Which stock appears to be riskier?QUESTION 2: Suppose Sharpe's position had been 99% of equity funds invested in the S&P500 and either 1% in Reynolds or 1% in Hasbro. Estimate the resulting portfolio position. How does each stock affect the variability of the equity investment? How does this relate to your answer in Question 2 above?QUESTION 3: Perform a regression of each stock's monthly returns on the Index returns to compute a beta for each stock. How does this relate to your answer in Question 2 above?QUESTION 4: How might the expected return of each stock relate to its riskiness?QUESTION 5: In what stock(s) (if any) should Sharpe invest?

American Social History Essay
InstructionsAccording to the American Social History project at George Mason University and CUNY (“History Matters”):In the 1926 article, “The Negro Art Hokum,” Schuyler argued that black artists in America were equally as diverse as white artists, and that to expect a uniform style or subject matter was as insulting as the stereotypes that were being rejected. In a scathing response, Langston Hughes argued that for black artists to paint anything but images of African Americans was tantamount to wanting to be white.Do you agree or disagree with this statement, or with either of the authors in question (Schuyler or Hughes)? If so, why?If not, why not?In a couple of paragraphs, explain your viewpoint on the subject and on the statement – even if you disagree with the statement in its entirety. For example, you may believe that the authors at the American Social History Project are wrong in their assessment of the disagreement between Schuyler and Hughes.NOTE: Both articles were published in the same publication, so a Google search may help you to clarify your thoughts.

Lonestar College Evaluating Teacher Leadership Competencies Activities and Standards Paper
For this model’s assignment, you will complete a self-assessment of your competencies, activities, and compliance with standards, then reflect on your potential leadership strengths and areas for growth. Next, you will interview teachers to discuss current school issues/concerns and the role of teacher leadership in resolving them.
Connecting with other teachers allows you to ascertain areas for collaboration and growth to ultimately improve instructional practices and school operations.
Note: Access two evaluation templates for this assignment on the Learning Objects page. You will complete the Teacher Leadership Evaluation 1. Then, you will email Teacher Leadership Evaluation 2 to two teacher colleagues for completion.
Step 1. Complete
Download and complete the Teacher Leadership Evaluation 1 from the Learning Objects page. You will include the completed self-evaluation in your final submission.
Step 2. Request
Email the Teacher Leadership Evaluation 2 to two teacher colleagues and ask them to complete the evaluation based on how they perceive your teacher leadership competencies, activities, and compliance with standards. You will not include these evaluations in your final submission; however, you will report on the results.
Step 3. Analyze
In a ½- to 1-page paper, analyze the data collected from Teacher Leadership Evaluations 1 and 2 using these questions:
What areas of strength are evident in the results?
What leadership opportunities in your school (and/or district) correlate with your strengths shown in the evaluations?
What areas for growth are evident in the results? How will you actively work to improve your performance in one of the areas identified for growth?
Step 4. Discuss
Hold the virtual group discussion with the two teacher colleagues on the online meeting platform of your choice. Record the discussion for use in a written response.
Use the following questions/prompts to guide the discussion.
What are the two most pressing school issues or concerns related to student achievement?
Brainstorm strategies to overcome the barriers to success.
For each of the issues/concerns:
Brainstorm barriers to successfully resolving the issues/concerns.
Propose ways teacher leaders can work individually and collectively to resolve the two issues/concerns.
Establish a shared purpose by outlining two specific action steps to address issue/concern.
Describe needed resources to make the teacher leadership initiative a reality.

Santa Barbara City College On Serial and Episodic TV Show Discussion
This week you are going to take apart two TV shows of your choice. The emphasis here is on the form of the show and the way it creates certain expectations and meanings. You can submit your Anatomy Analysis in any way you like - a Slide or Slideshow, a video, a written analysis, an audio submission - just find a way to communicate how your shows are creating meaning in their own unique way. Here's what to do:- Pick one episodic show and one serial show (to be clear, you are picking a total of two shows). I encourage you to pick something randomly to make it interesting. You can use the "Reelgood Roulette" Wheel (Links to an external site.) to select a show (I'll provide instructions below). - After you have your two shows selected, pick one episode from each show and watch them (or re-watch them if you have seen them before). This means you'll be analyzing two episodes from two different shows this week - one serial episode and one episodic episode. - For each show do the following (you will do this a total of two times for this assignment):1. Basic information: about the show and the episode you selectedSeries Name, "Episode Name," Season, and Episode NumberFor example: The Simpsons, "Homer The Smithers," S7E172. The Show: What basic format/structure does the show follow? What is allowed? Not allowed? What forms of hybridity are at work in the show? If it is a serial does it have episodic features that make specific episodes stand out? If it is an episodic show, do they have certain serialized elements that carry through from episode to episode? Does it follow the patterns of other similar shows? Does break from the expectations of the form in any way?3. The Episode: How does this episode fit within the rest of the series? Does it break from the show's conventions or structure? Does it meet the expectations of each show? What do you think this episode does for the overall show?4. Enjoyment & Viewership: What types of enjoyment do you get from watching this show? What type of viewership is implied or encouraged by this show? Why do you think it exists in the industry?- After you have completed the two analyses, reflect on what you have learned (you will only do this once and reflect on both shows at the same time):5. Reflection: What do these analyses teach you about TV form and meaning? What do you think this says about TV viewing? What does it say about TV as a media form?
