Both global and multinational companies are significantly different on operation and
management levels. The business in the two standards has overlapping models, most
significantly in the marketing effort. The presence of both the global and multinational has been
witnessed in different countries. In most cases, people use global and international business or
company interchangeably. The difference between the two is bound to the operation of the
company in an individual country.
Global company
In multiple countries, global company has a foothold, but the processes and the offering
are consistent in each state. For instance, the major soda brand can set up different outlet shops
in different countries. However, the recipe will remain the same in the global model. Regardless
of the local culture, the company will continue to follow the same manufacturing process and the
ingredients. At the global level, the company imposes its original business model on the country
but does not adapt to new local norms (Rasmussan et al. 2017).
Unlike in the case of a multinational company, the global company has no defined
official headquarters. The composition involves units that function as a part of the global or the
parent company...
