Premium Auto Insurance is an insurance company which has been operating for over
three decades. The longtime operations have made the company and its workers to gain essential
experience in the field of insurance turning the company into a giant insurance company in the
market. Due to market challenges, the company management has introduced a new post of
claims supervisor and plans are on to recruit qualified personnel to occupy the introduced post.
The insurance claims supervisor will be in charge of managing the Insurance Claim team, correct
and timely reporting of the claims to the Claim Manager, reviewing of the collected reports by
claim team and out-of-court negotiation with the clients whenever possible.
The job analysis technique that will be used is the structured interview method. This
technique will ensure that several applicants will be tested over the same post of claims
supervisor and the one that will meet the criteria laid down will be the preferred candidate. The
interviewing panel of Premium Auto Insurance Company will produce a standard set of
questions which will be tested on all the shortlisted applicants (Martocchio, 2015). I will lead the
interviewing team as I am the Human Resource Manager.
