A) I think once you start working at some jobs some of your privacy is gone away.
They have the options of seeing everything you do on their computers. I know the
job I currently work at, they monitor everything we do on the computers. They
even have certain websites block that we cant get on. With that being said, I read
an article about a employee using a pager for personal reasoning. He was given a
pager from his job, Ontario Police Department. He was using the pager for work
but also for pleasure, often sending sexually explicit text messages to his wife and
his mistress. The company found out about the text messages and request to see
them. The guy felt violated because he thought the text was personal and sued the
Department.
It is true once you work at some job, your privacy is limited. The employers have the right to
go through your text messages, emails and could go to the extent of picking your calls. Every
employee could take this as a violation, and it creates a bad picture if your secrets get
disclosed. For example, if the wife could receive the message that his wife was texting his
mistress. It could wreak havoc. Employees should also learn to avoid problems at work, from
my point of view, I do not see any reason why an employee should use an office computer and
leave without deleting the messages. It is...
