1 RUNNING HEAD: Report to CEO Report to CEO Rachel Martin Rasmussen College Author Note: This assignment is being submitted on August 19, 2018 for Jan Hoffmans, B440/GEB4220 Managing a Diverse Workforce class. RUNNING HEAD: Report to CEO 2 Executive Summary The diversity areas, which can be introduced in the company, will be racial diversity. One of the reasons for introducing this diversity area which will feature the inclusion of individuals who belong to a different race is that it will prevent discrimination or rather prevent the company to be associated with racism. The introduction of the diversity area can be entirely possible through the use of a diversity policy that will need to be implemented by the global organization. A plan, which has been well defined, can help the organization to accept persons from different racial groups (Thomas, 2003). Benefits It will highly be beneficial for this diversity area to be represented in the workplace since the representation in the organization will bring about various advantages that the organization will enjoy. It has been noted that organizations, which have racial representation in their workforce, will outperform those that aren't racially diverse by about 35%. Hence, one benefit of this representation is that it will boost the performance of the organization as a whole. Additionally, racial diversity will also appeal to most markets, which will bring about the success of the organization. An organization, which is racially diverse, will be viewed in favourable light since people, or the marketplace will see that the organization does not discriminate against a person based on their skin colour (Herring, 2009). Collaboration and Innovative Environment Racial diversity will lead to the creation of an innovative environment. People from different races will have different views based on different backgrounds they were raised in. RUNNING HEAD: Report to CEO 3 The different views will lead to an innovative environment because each person will be creative in their way. Through collaboration, diversity will not only lead to the organization's growth but will also unlock innovation which is highly beneficial to the company. The racial differences will inspire the workforce to collaborate and work together. The differences will also stimulate different approaches that will help solve problems and thinking patterns that can be useful in the long run. Hence, the racial differences will advance innovation that will meet the ideals of the customer base that will be equally diverse (Richard, 2000). Conclusion The significance of addressing the representation of this diverse group is that it will advance the organization due to the boost in the organizational performance and the company's growth. A company, which fails to address issues, which focus on this diverse group, will be regarded as racist, and this will not bode well since the company will not be appealing to the marketplace. Hence, no success will be enjoyed by the organization. A company, which discriminates against individuals by race, will only fail. Therefore, the representation of this diverse group needs to be addressed. 4 RUNNING HEAD: Report to CEO References Herring, C. (2009). RACIAL DIVERSITY

Racial diversity is one of the diverse areas in an organized workplace. Ethnic diversity is the
difference between an individual and a group of people regarding ethnicity, language, religion,
sexual behavior, gender, geographical area, race and socioeconomic status. Racial diversity
expresses that every individual is unique and has got unique characteristics. At times racial
diversity may lead to tension at the workplace (Herring, C. 2009). Ethnic diversity in an
organized workplace means having different people from different culture and background who
work together in the same environment to accomplish a goal.
Diversity planning is vital for an organization as it helps to improve the market techniques and
handling of customers’ issues which give the business the chance to compete in the global
market. Another benefit of diversity planning is that it helps the organization to earn good
reputation on fairness and it could increase the chances of its product acceptability to the market.
It is a symbol of reasoning and rationality.
Racial diversity planning helps the workers in a firm to deliver different experiences...
