In his autobiography, Franklin represents the Enlightenment Era as an Era where working
hard was considered as an important thing.
Examples; a) people had a can do it attitude towards work meaning that people embraced
working hard since this assured them of good lives, b) the author of the autobiography,
Franklin, with only two years of schooling and coming from a poor background, becomes
successful which can only be attributed to his hard work.
