Introduction
In the article ‘can personality and politics be studied systematically?’ (Greenstein,
1992), Fred Greenstein states that the study of personality and politics is possible, but this is
only achievable through self-conscious attention to conceptualization and evidence. Politics
in ‘personality and politics’ refers to political studies by political scientists. This includes the
study of extra government groups such as interest groups and political parties. Therefore, this
includes the study of politics in all aspects of government institutions, as well as other
institutions such as homes, schools, and at the workplace.
Review
As argued by Greenstein, personality in this case implies all political nature subjective
states which influence opinions and attitudes. Just like business people, most public officials
are motivated by the need for power, affiliations, and achievements. Even though sometimes
