Super Marine Spitfire Aircraft

It was in 1931 when the air ministry wanted a much better aircraft capable of flying more than
250mph that led to the designing of super marine to fill the role. Initially, the engineers developed
a super marine type 224 which was the initial idea of the super marine spitfire. The type 224 later
did not meet the requirements and therefore disappointed the design team who then decided to go
back and redesign aircraft that later developed the type 300. In 1934 the plane was submitted to
the air ministry and still did not meet the requirements that the officials were seemingly looking
for. At this point was when the decision was made to design and produce the famous super marine
Spitfire aircraft.
It is a British single-seat aircraft that was used during the war. The aircraft is prominently used by
the royal forces and other countries during the World War 2. The aircraft was initially seen by the
British at the RAF Herndon air display in 1936 (Price, n.p). The aircraft was first produced in the
same year under the order of director Vickers-Armstrong and Sir Robert MacLean. The company
that was tendered for the building of the aircraft was known as a super marine.
