There is an increasing demand in research and design in engineering fields and in the
near future one least expects that there will be more vacancies in this expanding professional
field. However, so far there are reasonable vacancies in research and design engineering and the
most interesting is aerospace engineering. In fact, both aerospace and mechanical engineering
share common units in a sentimental fashion and the difference only chips in during the
application of knowledge. Mechanical engineering tends to get on the broader application of
concepts while the former specifically applies the knowledge in aircraft and spacecraft design. In
this context, the desired job is gaining a vacancy as a research and design engineer in the
aerospace domain. Space exploration is becoming intertwined in research and design of products
due to attempts by humankind to reach far beyond the earth’s atmosphere.
It is imperative to note that there is a difference in aeronautical and aerospace engineering
since the former is concerned with the design and development of transport craft that cruises
below or within the earth’s atmosphere. The latter is concerned with building spacecraft that flies
beyond the atmosphere and into space. This accounts for the reason why there is more research
in aerospace engineering since space exploration is primarily carried for research purposes.
However aerospace engineering incorporates as much aeronautical engineering as possible since
spacecraft significantly travel in the earth’s atmosphere before ent...
