All questions are essay questions and should have about a paragraph long answer . Questions
1) - Green construction ( LEED , sustainability , leaving the environment as it was or
better )
● Imagine you are the general contractor on a LEED gold (hopefully!) project. You notice
that as the windows are being installed , they are not completed sealed. That is air is getting
in form the outside and leaking out from the building . why do you think that this is an
issue , from a sustainability perspective , an ethical perspective , and a constructability
perspective ?
2) - Construction project and players ( Designers , owners , contractors , subcontractors
).
● List , and describe the responsibilities of , at least Five players on building constructions
project . ?
3) - Project Stages ( preliminary design , build , operate )
● Typically , designers (and , for certain project delivery systems , builders) Collaborate with
an owner during the design phase to understand what is required in the project . Is there
value in including operators or users of the final project in the earliest phases of the project
? For example, when taking on a restaurant project (i.e., you are building a new restaurant
space) . would there be value in including chefs and patrons in the design process ? How
about the construction process?
Why or why not ?
Hint : To receive full credit , you should mention the project phases by name !
4) - Project Delivery (Design/bid/build, Design/Build, CMAR, Integrated project delivery)
● You are constructing a commercial building that is 100,000 square feet and four stories tall.
The building will be used for office space , with quick services restaurants (e.g., Chipotle)
on the first floor. Compare two delivery methods ( name them!) , and provide justification
for which is better.
5) - programing and Design ( Content covered at Architekton , marketing , space use
planning )
●
Describe , in two sentences , each of the phases of design and provide an example for
project.
Fill in the Following table to do so.
Phase
Description
Example
6) - Estimating Fundamentals ( Bidding , Materials , Labor , Equipment , profit )
● You are working as a part of design-build project team, serving as an estimator for general
contractor. As such, it is your job to collect bids form various trade contractors that you will
eventually select to perform construction. When you call around for pricing on the
mechanical contract, you notice that all trade contractors are within 5% of one another ,
with the exception of one contractor, whose price 15% lower than the other. You note that
this mechanical trade contractor just opened for business last year. Do you use their price,
given that it is lower, in your estimate for the job, or not ? In your response , suggest at least
three potential reasons that their price may be lower and use these to justify your position of
including their price, or not , within your estimate for the job.
7) - Creating Estimates ( Knowing what the owner wants , direct & indirect costs ,
documents that describe material quantities , material Vs. labor. Vs indirect costs )
● Why do you need to have some knowledge of the construction process to generate a
reliable estimate ? Given that , how early in a project do you think that an estimate can be
developed that is within 5% of the actual costs of construction ( assuming that you do not
run into unforeseen site conditions , or Acts of God).

POST 1
Global computing and big data are the reason digital society is evolving and enhancing the performance of organizations. Both technologies are ‘n’ numbers of benefits that are provided to the organizations as big data allows the organization to identify the insights, to find out hidden patterns, new market trends, and also preference and choice of the customers. Computing techniques allow the organization to communicate throughout the globe using the tools, software, and innovative techniques of computing. Global computing can be said as considerably extremely distributed computation, and it is the effect of computing resources that are not used even after being connected to the internet. The primary idea of global computing is to harvest the idle time of the computers that are connected to the internet (Germain, & Fedak, 2002).
Big data and global computing play a very important role in many different technologies such as sensors, computer networks, data storage, cluster computing systems, etc. Big data and global computing allows these technologies to gather data, identify, store, and process it in order to make it meaningful. Big data needs a very large space to process each and every data present and developed until the present. It can be implemented on regular systems. Data analytics algorithms can be identified and analyzed when the system is idle. Cloud computing and big data is a deadly and perfect combination as big data deal with huge data whereas, cloud computing is all about infrastructure. These two technologies when combined together by any organization it will be very beneficial as they provide scalable and cost-effective results (Verma, 2018).

POST 2
A few years ago, sensor technology was seen as an extremely promising field, and new sensor product categories seemed to spring up overnight. However, sensor technology is only one factor in the overall picture. The other big factor in computing and big data, and it is sensor technology, is that big data is becoming increasingly capable. Computer networks provide a convenient method of connecting many different data sources to one common data store. Computer network logs and other system logs (Deutsch et al., 2020). These logs can be analyzed and correlated with other data in the system to learn more about issues in the system. For instance, email is often sent over the network, and data traffic such as files is routed over the network. A big data picture has emerged. As companies' data, organizations and individuals grow, they are also expected to keep a significant amount of this data in memory for later use. Storage is a common medium for storing data and often includes non-volatile random-access memory such as flash memory (Deutsch et al., 2020).
The role of computer systems in global computing and big data is understudied. For years, the name of a computer cluster used to be considered taboo in computer science circles. However, computer security researchers and some academic practitioners have now come to terms with the concept of large-scale, data-rich computing (John Krogstie, 2017). At the very core of any information, the system is a cluster computer. Because clusters are so pervasive, it is important to understand how and why they are built. Cloud computing facilities can significantly reduce the time required to perform many traditional processing volumes in a relational database. IT practitioners can use a single, central computing environment to provide multiple, standalone, and consistent access to highly complex and dynamic data at a lower cost per unit than the Internet with these cloud facilities. The role of data analysis in these areas requires more than a little explanation. Data analysis is a technical one that does not associate with any particular set of methods or technologies (John Krogstie, 2017

After removing the vacuum hose from the fuel-pressure regulator, you see gasoline has dripped out of the hose. Technician A says that the fuel pressure regulator is defective. Technician B says that one or more of the injectors may be defective, causing the fuel to get into the hose. Who is correct? The speed-density fuel-injection system uses the _______ sensor as the primary sensor to determine base pulse width.
A. MAF (mass air flow)
B. BARO (barometric)
C. MAP (manifold absolute pressure)

A. 90
B. 30
C. 180
D. 60
Two technicians are discussing engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor diagnosis. Technician A says that the correct function of an ECT sensor depends on having a properly filled cooling system. Technician B says that the voltage measured on the ECT signal wire should be low when the engine is cold and high when the engine is hot. Who is correct? Normal throttle position voltage on most vehicles is about 0.5 volt at idle (closed throttle) and about _______ volts at wide-open throttle (WOT).
