. T-Mobile LTE 1 85% 8:06 PM The Effect After watching the effect, I was very surprised on how the play was presented. I was surprised because of how the set up was. I was a little surprised on how fast they were able to transition scenes and still have the ability to let the audience know what was going on. I really enjoyed the play overall, the reason I enjoyed the play so much was because of the actors and of course the scenery. I also was really enjoying the science behind the play. I love psychology and the male doctor was describing the brain and how it works with dopamine. One thing that I did not like was how they kept stressing how the love was not natural and how science was the reason behind it. I also was not very pleased with the insane asylum, I think they could of done something different, like at least change the chairs. I also do not enjoy the thought of them implementing infidelity into the play. I think they could of not put that in and it all still would've made sense. Lalso see how they could use . I believe that they play style of the production was Realism, I believe that realism is the style because they took a real life situation in a true life matter in the play. They took the study of how dopamine can affect the brain and how maybe it was not, let the audience decide what would the real life matter be. I also think if we look at what type of play it was, I also think it was a dramatic comedy mixture. The reason I say that is because in the play their was the drama of how the girl patient was still with someone else in terms of a relationship but said she was in love with the other patient. The tension of how the male patient was telling her to come with him and travel . I believe some of the comedy was in how the male patient would say some funny stuff, for instance of when he was being asked about his medical history he was saying some funny responses. I believe that this play was chosen because of how there were very good actors and perfect script to go with the actors. Also, I think the study using science to try or try not to describe love was very interesting and a very good reason why they chose this production. I honestly think that the actors were very right for the role of the characters, reason being is because the black guy was extremely funny and was perfect for a male patient who was extremely confident with himself and very narcissistic but funny at the same time. They did a very good job on transitioning the scenes and also making all the scenes flow without the audience being confused. I would of liked to see more into the past of both individuals to maybe see more background information on how they acted naturally without the antidepressant. I also think they could of done with not using real cigarettes because it smelt very bad. I do think also that the play was unified in the sense that everyone that was casting and acting was on the same page of acting. Their was not one actor being different than the other in the style of the play. I also think they were unified in the aspect of being good at transitioning scenes. It all made sense to me, reason being is because I understood the whole play. Overall, I would say this play was a good first play to see. The reason I think this is because she acted exactly how my doctor would act when asking me questions and also reacting to my answers. I honestly would not have chosen a different cast, except maybe the male doctor, I think he could of been more humorous or maybe even a better actor. Other than the male doctor, I think the actors were perfect for each character role. The nurse was even on point with her acting, she did not say anything, but acted like all the nurses I have seen. I think that the main focus of the rehearsals for the actors would definitely have to be organization or script being done over and over again until it seemed almost realistic. I also think they may have focused mainly on how to transition scenes in the rehearsal. I believe that this play came together very well. They did a very good job on transitioning the scenes and also making all the scenes flow without the audience being confused. I would of liked to see more into the past of both individuals to
