Read the attached to this week 7 "Nativism.PDF" file and respond to the following questions:

Essay Topic for week 7: What is nativism? John Higham described a three-dimensional definition of nativism. What are the three dimensions? What ethnic group was a target of nativism in 1750s Philadelphia and what was this group accused of? In a quote provided by B. Franklin’s writings; what did he think of English as opposed to other Europeans? Is nativism recurrent in our American society? Which ethnic group, according to published evidence, is most likely targeted today?

The format for this and rest of discussions:
