Probable Cause
Probable cause is a belief that must be reasonable enough to prove that a person has
committed before he or she is arrested, seized, or even searched. In addition to this statement, it
is not necessarily that the crime has already been committed, it can also involve a crime that is
intended to be undertaken by that person (Turner, Hemmens, & Matz, 2016). For probable cause
to be valid, the policemen have enough information and all the facts to warrant the arrest of the
person. In this case, arresting a person through suspicion can result in policeman face the
consequences of breaking the law. The strategy which the court applies to establish probable
cause is whether the sound in mind person of reasonable intelligence believe that situations show
that the arrested person or people have committed the crime or offense.
