any questions and see what your peers are saying about this assignment.
Assignment overview
In this final assignment, you will engage in reflection, reflecting on the performance of your team,
both individually and as a whole. Your personal reflection will examine the team as a whole, while
your peer appraisal will reflect on each team member's individual performance.
This reflection will directly impact your readiness for the next capstone unit, and it is a central
piece of learning for this unit. Throughout the unit, the assignment focus has been as much about
the process as the product. Now, you are reflecting on the process. Learning to do this kind of
reflection will also be important in the workplace, where 'retrospective' and 'lessons learned'
sessions are common. It is an essential part of continual improvement.
Related learning outcomes
This assignment assesses the following unit learning outcomes:
3. Communicate both verbally and in writing in an appropriate business manner.
4. Work collaboratively in diverse teams demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
5. Selfevaluate through reflection and interaction with others and evaluate the performance of
group members.

PROJECT PLAN
FOR
Project Background
In 2015 the City of Melbourne in their CLUE report stated that there were 219,000
people employed in Melbourne CBD. It was also reported in July 2018 by ABC news
that there were almost 400 people who are sleeping rough in the Melbourne inner
council. The Fed Project targets Melbourne’s on the go working population and aims
to feed them with healthy well-planned meals while at the same time making a
difference to the homeless community. The Fed Project’s points of difference to its
competitors include the delicious fresh professionally prepared meals curated by
dietitians and nutritionists, delivered in reusable food storage with a recycling program,
while also supporting and supplying nourishment to Melbourne’s homeless population.
The Fed project also achieves zero waste as every meal is prepared, cooked, and
portioned to ensure there is no food wastage and food scraps are composted in our
community garden on site. All fresh produce is 100% Australian farmed and sourced
promoting sustainability.
Project Objectives
To formulate a business proposal for ‘The Fed Project’ by 20th September 2018. The
proposal report and the pitch presentation must be good enough to convince the
investors and other stakeholders. The tasks will be allocated to team members as per
their field of specialty. The competitive advantage and market share for the proposed
business to be addressed in detail to ensure the investors’ return on investment. A
draft proposal to be ready by 10th September with a final version by 17th September
2018.
Project Deliverables
The following are the project deliverables that will be the output in completing this
project.
Infographic
A one-page visual representation of The Fed Project that will address the most
important factors of the business model. It will illustrate:
-
a description of the service
-
the competitive advantages
-
the marketing mix strategy
-
a financial summary
-
the social impact to society
Each member of The Young Entrepreneurs will then present the infographic
produced, in order to deliver the business proposal for the intended audience.
Final Report
Description:
The report will provide a background describing the business and its social impact.
This will include Porter’s 5 Forces and PESTEL analysis.
The Proposed Strategy:
The business strategy and marketing positioning will be proposed. Major competitors
will be addressed. The market potential and marketing mix strategy will be identified
and discussed. The launch strategy will depict what The Young Entrepreneurs will do
to make The Fed Project known.
Pitch of Profitability:
The potential profitability will be outlined while explaining how it will attract investors.
This will include 5 years’ worth of projections.
Stakeholder Charter:
This will be developed and will explain how the components of the stakeholder
charter will be applied to The Fed Project.

RACI MATRIX
Using a Responsibility Assignment Matrix that separates project tasks and
deliverables into levels of involvement and responsibility allows for a clear
understanding of each team member of their input expectations. The titles of
Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed (RACI) indicate these input levels
clearly.
R - RESPONSIBLE
Those who do the work to complete the task
A - ACCOUNTABLE
Those responsible for ensuring the work is achieved within the set time frame and to
the expected standard.
C - CONSULTED
Opinions are sought from to complete work.
I - INFORMED
Those who are kept up to date on progress.
Project Schedule
The Fed Project Gantt Chart illustrates our project schedule and the tasks that are needed to be accomplished in order to complete
our report and presentation. The Gantt Chart also provides the start and finish dates and displays the several tasks that need to be
completed in certain periods of time in relation to the amount planned for those periods. There are also some tasks that cannot be
started unless a certain task is completed first and there are tasks that can run simultaneously. For example, the profitability tasks
cannot start until the description and strategy tasks have commenced followed by the stakeholder charter.
