Abstract
Usually, minorities have their say as majority have their way. Minority group is a category
of people who are disadvantaged in the society but is subordinate to a more dominant group. They
lack distinguishing characteristics because they are more so socially separated from the dominant
forces of the society. Members of this group are usually cut from full involvement in the workings
of the society and from an equal share in the society’s rewards. They face discrimination in many
areas such as social life, employment, healthcare, housing and education. In this article, main focus
will be on how the black Americans are discriminated specifically at Workplace in America. They
are discriminated on payments, promotions, given hard labor, job application process and selection,
racial slurs, negative comments, violence and threats as clearly shown in the paragraphs below.
