COMPLEX HYBRID EMAIL SYSTEMS

The postal services are the parents of the email systems that exist today (Sagi, Jonsson &
Gracy, 2015). The electronic email, in fact, obtained its name from the contemporary product
transported by the postal services-mails. A prefix “e” was used to imply it’s an electronic mail. The
emails became popular I the last decade of the 20th century. The term Hotmail is popular with very
many people, Hotmail is an email service that was established by Microsoft. Today, there are
numerous email providers.
Today, email services have been localised to the extent that companies and corporations use
their email services. They use their servers to store and send emails. The step is usually taken to
ensure that the data transmitted over the networks are protected and reduce the incidents of tapping
and eavesdropping into the company’s confidential information (Adamczyk, et al., 2016).
Today, there are four major email provider technologies. The four are; Microsoft Exchange
server, Web-based email, POP3 AND IMAP (Levi & Dgani, 2016). The Microsoft exchange
systems primarily develop their emails for large organisations. The email systems supported by the
servers are advanced and complex. The exchange servers by Microsoft are also quite expensive to
install and maintain compared to other email systems which require no servers. Unlike the
contemporary email, the email systems provided by the Microsoft Exchange servers can share
schedules and operate like Microsoft outlook application. It allows the users of the systems to share
their programs. It’s important to note that the email system works like any contemporary
application.
The advantages associated with the Microsoft email exchange servers includes that, one,
emails are saved on the systems, whether sent or received (Leonard, et al., 2016). Also, a user can
open the email from another computer even though it’s not the original computer that was used to

open the mail. Lastly, the servers use user-friendly interfaces that can easily get accessed via
window explorer.
The major disadvantage associated with the email system is that they are expensive
compared to the other email systems (Leonard, et al., 2016). Also, the services provided by the
email servers are limited as the storage space is. The disadvantage makes them not desired as it
makes them not attracting.
Web-based emails are free. For years, Hotm...
