The criminal justice has focused on the integration of essential policies that define positive
change within the social environment. The implementation of different strategies within the
criminal justice system has focused on diverse elements which are necessary for shaping social
development. Policymakers have been highly engaged in developing significant public policies
which have been integral in preventing crime. One of the most commonly adopted public policy
among different police departments is hotspot policing. Police have been increasingly criticized
on the strategies that they have been putting in place which define their ability to deal with
increasing crime and racial profiling of offenders (Andresen & Weisburd, 2018).
The adoption of evidence-based strategies provides a better understanding of the source of
crime and integrate better measures to control the increasing crime rate within these areas. Hot
spot policing is an evidence-based public policy which focuses on specific places which are
perceived to be sources of crime. This policy is developed based on the area that is perceived to
