Description

So it is only a one page assignment about a social policy issue or program that has been in the news. It cannot be older than 5 days so it has to be really recent. I will also attach from which media or news you should get the information. The attachment shows a green box around all the news sides you can use. It should be in the neutral area on the top. So basically it is just answering the questions about a social policy or issue that has been recently in the news. AGAIN use one of media that is in the green box. I will attach the paper with the questions and the media website.

Issues of social policy and social programs are ongoing. Various individuals and groups are constantly proposing or commenting on social issues and polices. Over the course of this semester I would like you to become more aware of some of these discussions. To do so, you are asked to complete three ‘In the Media’ items over the course of the semester. Provide the information below and be prepared to discuss your item in class. Not all items may be discussed in class. More points will be given to items discussed. What is the issue? Briefly describe the social problem or issue involved. What is the intent of the article (problem definition, solutions, criticism, support)? What is the position of the article? What is the source (authority, expertise, political bias, ideology)? What is your opinion? Attach the first page of the article
