Your essay should have a clear organizational scheme with an introduction, body paragraphs focusing on one idea each, and a conclusion. Your thesis statement should make a debatable claim in answer to the prompt you chose. You will support that thesis in the body of the paper with quotations from the story and your analysis of those quotations. You can assume that your audience has already read the story you are discussing, so you should avoid summarizing the plot. Instead, focus on analysis, and only discuss those plot details that are relevant to your interpretation.
