Code of conducts has been a vital tool for many organizations and institutes in making
sure all the staff behaves professionally in the working environment. They indicate what is
wrong and what is right to do or perform in a work environment and possible consequences of
not following the guidelines and rules. Code of conducts are also very familiar in many colleges
and universities and have been of great help in regulating the behavior of students, the teaching
staff and the non-teaching staff. Learning institutes have a distinct and unique code of conducts
according to different factors like the location social status, economic well-being and academic
achievement among other factors (Cameron & O'Leary 2015). However, despite the differences,
there are some similarities in the code of ethics across different colleges and university
institutions. The codes mainly focus on the teachers, employees, and student of the college. In
Butte College, Fordham University, and the University of Montana there is three code of
conducts that have similarities and differences that can help in creating a code of ethics.
