The Role of the Human resources in Health care
The human resource department in the healthcare industry is responsible for the overseeing
of the employees on administrative matters of the company. The benefits of the human resources
department have being gradually gaining some recognition in the healthcare sector. The
recognition of the human resource function was recognized after the challenges that are
associated wit healthcare regulations, and economic instabilities. The role of the human
resources function will include the following;
1. Staffing and placement
Any organization requires to have suitable personnel filling the different organizational
positions that may be in existence. The human resource department is mandated with the task of
organizing and conducting the selection process of the candidates that would be appropriate for
the different vacancies that may be available in the organization. The human resource department
should be able to advise the management of the company on the benefits and any package of the
existing and potential employees to the company (Lorsch 2007). The human resource function
has to ensure that the new employees acquire labor certificates that are acquired from the U.S
department of labor and work visas. The function ensures that the recruitment process is
conducted without any form of prejudice or favoritism. That will ensure that the business is in
compliance with the given legal requirements on the recruitment process.
2. Research on legal mates on health care
The human resources function has to make routing research on the regulations that govern
the health care system regarding the affairs of the employees in the healthcare facility. In such an
instance, they have to be up to date with the different changes in legislation and tax affairs of the
