Description
Susan was just leaving work and as she walked outside she realized how much snow had fallen and how cold it felt! She hurried to her car, but unbeknownst to her, ice was also hidden under the snow. Instead of walking like a duck, as she's always been told to do in snow and icy situations she took big steps so she could get to her car more quickly. Before she knew it, both feet flew out from under her and she landed hard on her right hip. Embarrassed, she quickly got up but not before she felt a pop in her groin area and excruciating pain.
Fortunately, a friend saw the whole incident, and immediately called 9-1-1 to take her to the hospital. Consequently, Susan broke her hip and fractured her pelvis. She was in for a long recovery. Who is responsible for paying Susan's medical bills and cover her lost income from her inability to work for up to 4 months?
