Your bibliography will consist of 2 entries. Each entry will include a bibliographic entry in APA style and then a 1-2 paragraph summary of thearticle (not from the article abstract) and a 1-2 paragraph explanation of how this article relates to your paper. Dr. Zenovich WHAT IS AN ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY? An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a brief descriptive and evaluative paragraph or two; the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited. APA 6th Style format Waite, L. J., Goldscheider, F. K., & Witsberger, C. (1986). Nonfamily living and the erosion of traditional family orientations among young adults. American Sociological Review. 51 541-554. The authors, researchers at the Rand Corporation and Brown University, use data from the National Longitudinal Surveys of Young Women and Young Men to test their hypothesis that nonfamily living by young adults alters their attitudes, values, plans, and expectations, moving them away from their belief in traditional sex roles. They find their hypothesis strongly supported in young females, while the effects were fewer in studies of young males. Increasing the time away from parents before marrying increased individualism, self-sufficiency, and changes in attitudes about families. In contrast, an earlier study by Williams cited below shows no significant gender differences in sex role attitudes as a result of living. This article supports my claim that nonfamily living is one way in which young people can become independent. Each annotated bibliography entry should begin by identifying the source in correct American Psychological Association Style documentation (a.k.a APA), as exemplified above. If your source is not a journal article, look for the appropriate style on the library website or on Purdue Owl or ask me. You will then need to write what the author’s purpose, justification main points, and how it relates to your research in an annotation of 4-6 sentences: 1. A brief description of the author's topic, thesis, and methodology and a concise outline of the main points in the text. In other words, in what academic discipline does the author locate themselves (history, literature, social science, women's studies, cultural studies, etc.)? Why should we care? 2. What kind of evidence does the author draw upon? 3. A statement about the author’s goals and his/her intended audience. 4. Did the article help you to further understand the topic? If so, explain how it did. If not, explain what information might have been helpful. 5. MOST IMPORTANTLY--Your critical evaluation of the text’s usefulness for the investigation of your topic.

Graham, L. F., & Padilla, M. B. (2013). Sexual rights for marginalized populations. APA
Handbook of Sexuality and Psychology. Washington, DC: American Psychological
Association.
The researchers examined the current trends and practices in sexual education by
performing a comprehensive meta-analytical review of the literature on the various elements of
the sexual rights of marginalized populations. The authors tested the strengths of the policy
document evaluating its impacts on power dynamics between the genders and its influence on the
protection of their rights within the program including those related to the prevention of sexually
transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancies. According to Graham and Padilla (2015), the
outcome of the review showed that there is an increased need for linking the various components
of sexual education programs such as the curriculum and the skills of the trainers with the
broader factors that determine the quality of the program’s impacts. It is the information that was
used by the authors of this article to recommend the areas that should define future research
agenda, which are critical to the formulation of evidence-based practices for the promotion of the
sexual health of young people.
Meanwhile, the review of the contents of this article showed that it would provide a
framework for gaining in-depth insights into the issue surrounding the sexual reproductive health
of young people. As a review of the evidence-based practices that are recommended by a
globally-recognized program for sexual, the content would be used to identify some of the
measures that can be used for addressing most the issues that limit the access of the marginalized
population to sexual health services. Also, the article was selected as a reference to the
