There are still presence of organized hate groups with new stories of racial slurs as well as attacks every day. According to Golden state skinheads Northern California racism is the ideology or the practice through demonstrated power or the perceived superiority of one group over others due to race, color, ethnicity, or cultural heritage. There are some entrenched aspects of racism that have not changed including criminal sentencing. The blacks consistently get a higher as well as more severe penalties than whites in judgments (Bonilla-Silva, 2013). On the other hand, there are areas of health where doctors are less likely to prescribe pain medication to the blacks while we have blacks getting more invasive procedures on cardiovascular conditions. We conclude that racism is alive and much well in the United States, regardless of what most neoconservative thinkers make us believe. The persons of color are usually disproportionately represented in the prison populations as well as in welfare systems. This means that our systems need a lot of work as we have not made enough efforts and progress ever since the start of the civil rights movement. America needs do more than just paying lip service to cultural competency. Golden state skinheads holds that denial still remains one of the key challenges, including the neoconservative stance of talking not in terms of the structural inequalities but in terms of individual acts of meanness. Americans extraordinarily segregate blacks when it comes to areas such as health and housing while the school voucher programs are thinly veiled racism that is designed to help the white middle class. HATE GROUP 3 Golden State Skinheads movement discounts studies about the continued and evolving racism in America as well as the belief that classes as well as programs to combat racism are still critically needed. Specifically, the subject of race and racism usually figures prominently in Golden state skinheads priorities. This organization’s Code of Ethics advocates the principle that social workers should strongly challenge social injustice and mainly focusing on issues of unemployment, poverty, discrimination as well as other manifestations (Chaney & Robertson, 2013). Their activities are aimed at promoting sensitivity to and the knowledge about oppression as well as cultural and ethnic diversity. The organization strives to ensure that social workers should strive to ensure they have access to the much needed information, services as well as resources with equality of opportunity as well as meaningful participation in decision-making for everyone (Jee-Lyn García & Sharif, 2015). The organization also address the impact of racism including other forms of oppression, social injustice as well as other human rights violations through use of social work education and practice. It continuously acknowledges, confront, recognizes, and addresses the pervasive racism within the social work practice at the agency, individual, and even including the institutional level thereby promoting culturally competent social work interventions as well as research methodologies in the well-being, social justice, and the cost-benefit outcomes. Racism is more pervasive in the U.S. society and it remains a silent code that systematically closes the doors as well as opportunities to many individuals. Racism has proved to be a belief or peoples practice through the demonstrated power of perceived superiority of a specific group over others in regard to race, ethnicity, color, or cultural heritage. The perceived power and right is a part of the cultural inheritance for the United States. HATE GROUP 4 Standards of Cultural Competence advocates for individuals and systems to respond more respectfully and effectively to individuals from all cultures, languages, races, classes, religions, ethnic backgrounds, and other diversity factors in a way that affirms, recognize, and values the worth of families, individuals, and communities so as to protect and preserves the dignity of each. In this regard, cultural competence advocates for recognition of the convergence and disparity between those values of the dominant society with those of the historically underrepresented, oppressed and underserved populations. There should be equal access and opportunity in employment, education, housing, health care and services, criminal justice, social services and among other areas regardless of race.
