Introduction
In the recent past, there have been isolated cases of security incidences occurring in various
locations of limited access in the general society. For instance, various locations such as banks,
designated museums, courthouses and many others have fallen victim to security breaches that usually
result in casualties. Therefore as a result, various studies have been conducted to determine the status of
security in such places. This paper is therefore an evaluation of the security situations in courthouses as
one of the places of limited access. The paper will mainly focus on explaining the necessity of security
personnel in the courthouse, the need for contract security services as well as providing an evaluation
of the existing protection services and the security programs currently being implemented in the
