The early modern era is one which has been characterized by many historians as one
which change the phase of the world. This is the ear where the Europeans woke up, expanded,
and even build empires which was to be identified with them. This was the British Empire period
whereby they had and wanted to take most of the territories to themselves. It’s during the time of
Dutch East India Trading Company. It’s the era of a new Europe which was to be characterized
by modern and better aspects of the world with even regards to the technology employed then.
It’s during the time whereby the Europeans will come, take your land, and settle in it as if it was
theirs. With regards to this, there was the emergence of various resistance empires to fight or
counter the Europeans. They were huge land empires that also wanted to fight for the land and at
least have a say during this competitive era (Frachetti, p. 193). It’s a period that can be described
as the early modern period. Between the years 1450 to 1750, there was the interconnection
between the Eastern and the Western hemisphere. The connection was made possible by the
transoceanic voyage which marked a key transformation during this period. There were different
activities that were happening in both the Eastern and the Western hemisphere which was an
assurance that these activities will be interchanged. As there is a tendency that when two regions
are connected there will be interchanging of items and sharing of resources, this was the same
case with the Eastern and the Western hemisphere. The two hemispheres were connected by the

oceans and there was a connection between them through the voyage. The interconnection is
what was attributed to the numerous changes that occurred during this time.
