Humans created societies, states, and empires from the late Neolithic period to 1500 CE in order to allow for the growth of the individual. Ancient China, Ancient Greece, and the Mayan Empire are the three ancient civilizations I had chosen. The basis for my idea was how the advances in math and science of these civilizations allowed for the growth of the individual.
