INTRODUCTION
Digital evidence includes video surveillance footage and photographs taken for crime scene
documentation. Admissibility of such pieces of evidence in a court of law depends on the
authenticity and credibility of digital evidence submitted in court. Proper chain of custody should
be adhered to ensure no one tampers with photographs or videos taken at a crime scene.
Furthermore, Forensic personnel at a crime scene should employ the best handling and storing
practices for digital evidence to the integrity and authenticity of crime scene photos and
surveillance footages (Ćosić, Ćosić, & Baća, 2015)
