GREEN WORKS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Any organization, especially non-profit making organizations, will always endure a lot of
challenges in their attempts to achieve their missions of empowering communities, and solving
societal issues. Green Works non-profit making organization that am virtually work at, is not
immune to these challenges as it attempts to fulfill its mission of Empowering youth to care for
the environment, contribute to the economy, and create healthy communities, especially in
Kansas City. However, pursuing solutions for those challenges will not be easy for everyone
associated with Green Works organization, but with dedication, persistence, and sacrifice from
all stakeholders, there is no doubt that these solutions will be achieved gradually and efficiently
for the benefit of the Kansas city public school kids and our general society at large.
Solutions to Green Works operational problems when tackling environmental issues
To realize effective success in the variety of the youth’s development programs that
Green Works is massively investing in, it requires massive amount of money/funding, an issue
that the organization is currently struggling with. If you take a slight to peek into the
organization's website, you get shocked at the mere fund's amounts that Green Works receives,
even from its principal funders. For Example, on its recent funding page, $7500 is the highest
amount of money it received as grant, from Bank of America, which is one of its main sponsors

Works, given the magnitude of work we expect them to do for the society. Fighting
environmental issues and promoting environmental conservation is not a project that can be
driven with meager funding because, it requires a substantial amount of funding, to carry its
activities perfectly. However, for Green Works to overcome this issue, it has to engage in

aggressive resource mobilization strategies, to smoothen its day to day operations. Moreover, If
Green Work applies these aggressive techniques, it will not only ensure that it is effectively
overcoming this issue of realizing limited resources/ funds, but it will also be able to secure
unlimited access to appropriate donors and achieve continuous funding.
This technique will ensure that Green Works is achieving a stable status of financial
sustainability at any given time, ensuring that no project or program that the organization is
engaged in is being derailed due to lack of enough funds. This Can be achieved if the
organization shifts its current focus of only appealing to the local donors it has been heavily
relying in for funding, by going a step further in appealing and reaching out to international
donors, who will give the organization unlimited resources. Spreading the word of the excellent
work Green Works is doing, not just for the achieving a healthy community in the present but
also for the future by investing in the young, they can be able to convince any donor to invest in
their work. Green Works needs to significantly expand its operations or work, to empower even
areas that go far and beyond the ...
