Atmore community hospital is a service organization. For every service organization,
people are the key focus since everything done in a healthcare facility is about the well-being
of people. People require attention when they are unwell, and for a healthcare provider to be
said to do well, then it has to maintain a total focus on the patient.
Customers
Atmore community hospital is located in a rural setting, and most of its customers are
from the rural areas around it. The location of the hospital means that its customers are
individuals who come to seek medical attention. There are probably no corporations, and the
hospital deals with individual customers. Most of the customers have no insurance and maybe
low-income owners. The hospital has the GoldenCare which is a service for the seniors. A
bigger percentage of the clients to this hospital are the elderly who prefer living in the rural
areas in peaceful communities away from the noise and the chaos of urbanization.
The customers are not high-income earners, and the hospital has to stay keen on the
pricing strategy to make sure the services are still affordable to the local communities. Most
of the customers also prefer to be treated as outpatient customers, and the hospital has to pay
attention to outpatient specialty clinics and services. They are mostly farmers who are busy
on their farms, and they prefer to be free, away from hospital beds to keep in touch with
