remains strictly professional. Therefore, modern doctors have always prided the importance of
seeking medical assistance from a trained medical officer. Nevertheless, the stride made in
holistic healthcare in creating concoctions to alleviate pain remains remarkable. However, the
mainstream medical community remains dismissive of this advancement terming the lack of
scientific proof as a significant issue of contention (Power & Hopayian, 2011). Nonetheless, the
scope of this paper remains the main reasons why modern doctors dismiss holistic approaches in
healthcare.
