Description

Let 'Er Rip sells new and used snowmobiles. Last January it advertised a major sale. "All inventory MUST go!". The sale attracted Morley. "Maybe", he thought, "I should get a used sled (snowmobile), go ripping with friends."

Morley went in, told the salesperson he wanted a really good deal on a basic used machine. He also told the salesperson he didn't know much about snowmobiles. The salesperson showed him 3 different options, said they were all close to the same. Morley liked the bright red one, and bought it for $7500 plus tax.

Anxious to practice before going riding with friends, Morley took the machine out the next time it snowed. He was halfway up Sand Creek when the snowmobile suddenly died. Luckily he was in cell range. He called his best friend to come help. His friend rode in and towed the dead sled back to Morley's truck. They loaded it, and Morley drove straight to Let 'Er Rip. He was angry, embarrassed and wanted his money back. He felt "Ripped" off.

Apply what you've just learned about the Sale of Goods Act, and Consumer Protection in BC, to this situation. In your post, either take the store's point of view OR the consumer, Morley's, point of view. Looking forward to a good debate!
