The world appears to be unfair to the fair people. The more the fair people struggle for
survival, the more they suffer unless an opportunity that favors them arises. However,
unreasonable people tend to live a smooth life with limited or no suffering. Therefore, poor
people will continue to be poor as rich people continue to be rich. The types of life that people
live depend on the environmental conditions in which they are. If the environment does not f avor
an individual, it will harass them to the end. Every individual is supposed to identify the situation
that they are in to determine their future life. By the comparison of the construction practices in
the United States with the outcomes of Haiti’s Hurricane disaster, one can get the possible
solutions to avoid future losses.

Haiti is a Caribbean country that shares the Hispaniola Island with Dominican on the
eastern side. The country is located within longitude -72.34 and latitude 18.54 (Erickson 10). The
country is found between Puerto and Cuba. It is situated on the Eastern side of Cuba and
occupies around three-eighth of the Caribbean Sea on the western side. It has an area of 27,560

country are elites and those living in urban centers. However, Haitian Creole is the language
most spoken by the citizens. Over 95% of the people in Haiti speak Haitian Creole fluently
(Romaine 12). It is a mix of different languages such as West African Languages, Taino, and
French. Moreover, some citizens can also speak English and Spanish.
Culture
Throughout the history of Haiti, it has suffered from natural disasters such as
earthquakes, hurricanes, cyclones, torrential rains, and tropical storms. Currently, it is still
