System development life cycle (SDLC) is a process that produces software at low cost and
in the shortest time possible. SDLC provides a plan for both technical and non-technical process
to come up with quality system which meet organization’s expectations (Ruparelia, 2010). This
paper discusses different steps in the SDLC process as well as the significance of the steps in
software development.
Steps in System Development Life Cycle
Identifying the current problem. This step involves asking questions like, "What do we want?" All
parties including customers and programmers are involved. In addition, it involves learning the
