Think Like A Psychologist!!
will be an analytical paper in which you will integrate the findings of a) a peer-reviewed journal article with b) information presented in the text as well as c) a recent (past 6 months) current event (newspaper or internet.) You must start by choosing a relevant primary-source research article from some psychologically-oriented, scholarly journal. The article should address an issue concerning personality theory. You will then summarize the findings of the article and use this information to dialogue with your text and some current event depicted in a news article.
The paper should have a body of between 2-3 pages and be no longer than 3 pages. It should be APA-formatted. You need a title page, running head, standard margins, a 12-point font, and correct spacing. (See www.apastyle.org for a tutorial/examples) There should be a reference section for the journal, your text, and the news article.
You are free to choose your particular topic, as long as it is representative of personality psychology on a clinical or theoretical level. Your writing should be professional and analytical, as if you intended to submit the paper to a journal.
The assignment will be worth 120 points. Points will be awarded for the following:
