The two cultures are majorly different from each other. Americans believe in
individualism while poles believe in family. For poles, the family is very important and they live
with extended family members. Poles value family members more than outsiders family
members normally belong to the core circle. Close friends also belong here. They are relied upon
by a person for important advice and form a person’s business and social network. Individuals
from the inner circle have a duty to an individual including helping them secure a job, rent an
apartment, or cut through bureaucracy (Commisceo Global). Members of the inner circle have a
tendency of extending the favor to each other and making use of contacts to get matters resolved.
Americans, on the other hand, value family, however, the new clear family. The
American family is a small one and extended families are not the norm. unlike In Poland where
people live together as a family for life, Americans believe in living home immediately one is of
age and finding his/her own life. Americans treasure individualism something reflected within
the family unit. Americans happen to take pride over individual achievements
